I just watched a bunch of videos of my daughter. She is growing so so fast. I hardly remember what she used to look like, but when I see the old video's she looks so different. I don't know if it's the devil in me but I think she's cuter now than she was before...

In other news... Money is going to be the end of me. These past

few months have been hard for us, I won't lie. Gas prices don't cooperate with 50 miles a day in a '99 Jeep. Back when gas prices were NBD.

Can't wait for things to turn around. Literally. So donate some money to my fund! I'm kidding... sort of. If you have some spare change put it in my pay-pal account :p

Site & Blog Update

Just updated my website - MarkMalta.com with my new "temporary" layout. My portfolio is still being updated but some basic stuff is up there. I welcome any design work. Really, I need it.

I will continue tweaking the blog, as it is pretty standard right now. Close to what I want but it is just a modified template at this point.

Let me know what you think as I am in the midst of updating some things.

What a week.

So it's been a week since I last posted. Sorry for the delay. We kept the cat...

For a week. Teenager kitten = crazy. She was good.. but too much for us right now. I've been working like 12 hour days all week. So tired. Had to cut Friday short because of some server problems and need to go in tomorrow at 9. No memorial day for me :(

Went to Disney yesterday.. utter mistake. It started pouring. Lines were really long. Really wet. Probably won't take Makayla for a few more years. I wish I had more to report. Stuff. Just hoping I  don't have to stay too long at work. Gotta do it.

Makayla is sitting up now without wobbling. She also said "Hi!". She's smart.

funny thoughts

Just had a funny thought... My wife is stuck at home with 2 crazy kids.. well one really is a kid and another is a hyper-active cat. Good luck honey!

Purry Kitty

I have a purry kitty. More about that later.

Makayla is almost 6 months old. Oh em gee. Getting very big. She's starting to scoot on her back. So close to crawling. I can't wait for her to crawl but at the same time she's going to be kind of a pain. Getting into stuff. Have to baby-proof the house. She's close to saying her first words and stuff. Time is flying by.

We did something kind of crazy today. Went to Target then to Petsmart. Saw the cat I was going to get Courtney for mothers day. Decided to bring her home! We haven't officially adopted her yet. Just trying it out for a week. If my allergies get too bad or Makayla gets sick or something she goes away :( She is very loving and chilled when she's in the mood but if she gets in a hyper mood she is polar opposite. Runs around like a crazy cat. Kind of like a puppy... sliding around the wood floors. Hyper. 

Makayla loves the cat. A lot. She laughs like I've never heard her laugh before when she plays with kitty. Hilarious.

Since I'm a dad I have to post these. They are sort of the same but that's because I'm proud. Some of the cat too. We're naming her Mako.

Feelin'... not so great.

Gotta go super early to work tomorrow because I like to spend my evenings with my family. 4:30 or so. I enjoy the peace in the morning though. Just 2pm sucks. Crash.

The week has been pretty uneventful. Doctors appointments and such. Lots of work. Supposed to be getting our stimulus check Friday at midnight. Hoping hard for that right now. Gas is going to be the death of me, or my car.

I took Makayla for a walk tonight and a lady that was pulling into her driveway said something about me being a good dad/person for walking with my daughter. I guess other guys don't do that with their kids? Why? But anyways, she made me feel good about myself. Thank you, lady.

I need to go to sleep because I need to get up in 5 hours :x

The weekend went pretty good. We took Courtney's little sister to the Orlando Science Center. Overall, it was a good time. We paid extra to go to the Titanic Exhibit. It was educational and had some great artifacts along with the "Grand Staircase" replica. But if I had to do it again (pay extra) I wouldn't. At least, not with a 6 y/o and a 5 month old. Both kids were great, but the 6 y/o seemed to get bored a lot faster. It's not like she had any idea what the heck the Titanic was. I have a lot of respect for the ship and passengers, though.

The rest of the science center was alright. Aside from the Titanic their Space themed area was the best. They also had a pretty interesting robotics area that featured characters from the movie "Robots". Had life-size statues of famous robots (including C3PO) around. Dominoes. Stuff. The rest of their areas were somewhat lacking. We also had the opportunity to look at the sun through their "observatory". They had the whole rotating dome thing down, but I was expecting a much larger telescope. I did get to see the sun though. After waiting for 15 minutes for a cloud to pass. It was very hot up there.

Today (Sunday) I got up, watched 300. Then Myth Busters, then some Back to the Future. Courtney slept till 1 today. She had some sleeping problems last night. I let her sleep in. Because I'm nice. We went to the mall to get out and had a late lunch at Ruby Tuesdays. We got Makayla a cup. She really tries to get our cups so when we eat so we decided she could have her own this time. She really appreciated that. After that we walked around the crap mall. (West Oaks Mall) for an hour or so. Then went to Mc'Ds for some ice-cream on the way home. Makayla ate her feet on the way home. Hence the title of this post. She makes some ugly faces when she eats her toes. She grasps her whole foot with both hands and just shoves it in there. MMMM. She likes it though.

Just an update

Making an update here... 

Tomorrow I'm getting my garage door opener fixed. Only works like 15% of the time. Also have to go to work 30 minutes early every other day now. Oh, the spoils of being a manager... 

Tried to give Makayla some pea's tonight. That was an utter disaster. She'd just open her mouth and let it slide out... or gag. I tried a few spoonfuls green beans and that didn't work out either. She at least ate a little of that. We had to settle with  applesauce and a baba. She then proceeded to fall asleep on my shoulder leaving behind some sweet sweet drool for me to remember her.
