Working Hard!

Sorry I haven't posted lately.

I'll update you on little Makayla after I get the bulk of this post out of the way.

So I'm starting an online based business. Stressing out a little. So much to think about and I'm just trying to plow through it.

I registered my business name on Monday with sunbiz.org I'm not going to give away too many details about the business yet. I had to price a lot of things out and look into some other companies and services etc. for the business plan. So, like I said, got registered on Monday. Still haven't gotten my TAX-ID because I don't have a certificate yet. I'm hoping to get that tomorrow. Before I even registered I consulted some friends and family about starting up a business. I got all my plans together, made some changes, got things back together and made some more changes. I feel changes I made we're smart for the company. I figured out what all needs to be on the website and how the order page and payment process needs to work. Priced out a coder for that. Started some black & white layout roughs for the website and finished the logo tonight, after throwing it around for a bit with friends to get opinions.

I feel like I've hit my creative wall for the night and hoping to alleviate that because I feel I need to be further along by now. I have a lot of original assets to create. A lot. I can't complain because I got myself into this. We need this. My inner entrepreneur is burning.. hehe

So in the world of Makayla:

She is crawling... everywhere. Went all the way up the stairs today by herself (I was behind her of course) - She doesn't know how to go down yet, which I think is scarier. She will stand on her own every now and then.. but usually supports herself on a lot of walls and couches and things.

Things she says: Hi, MaMa, DaDa, BaBa and puts Hi Dada! together. She will crawl after me when I leave for work in the morning saying dadadadada and it's really sad. Man. I'm getting tired. I'm going to push for 30 more minutes...

Some stuff

*EDIT* I just noticed this now. I started my blog one year and 3 days ago today. Freaking crazy. I can probably count the comments I've gotten on my blog since on 2 hands. HA!

A couple of things I wanted to post... My friend Chet Zar had one of his distinct designs used in Hellboy 2, which I really would like to see. It's just hard to get out to the movies these days... (I also wanted to see Wall-E) Actually I would call him a work acquaintance. Had the pleasure to "work" with him for about 4 days on Altered like 3 years ago. Really, really really cool dude / Great artist. 

The Chamberlain

Okay, so the "freaky thing" out of the way. I've been listening to "The Flobots" lately. I would have preferred to hear of them before they got airtime so I'd feel cooler about knowing who the band is. If you're not familiar with them they are a sort rap/rock but the message of their newest album is very anti-war / anti-racism etc. I haven't listened to their earlier music yet. You can check out their single "Handlebars" here. Making me feel rebellious!

Also, I posted a new album on Myspace of Makayla. I posted the pics here, but their may be more on myspace. Check them out if you get a chance. She really makes me smile. She crawled across the house on Thursday.. clear across it. She has acquired her crawling skill. Now she's working on walking (believe it or not)

OMFG

Some asshole defrauded my wife's credit card number. Bought $500 worth of shit from Pottery Barn Teen...

I think I'd notice a fucking 500 dollar charge to my bank account, asshole. I'm giving your address to the police when I get it ;)

What really gets me is that some jerk-off actually STOLE a credit card and used it for their KIDS.

Do people have any decency anymore? They did a test charge and got a $10 flashlight. Nice. I really hope I can get this jerk busted.

Hi!

We're out of the Mamamama phase already.. sort of. We started waving Friday evening. She waves when you say hi or bye and is extremely proud of herself for doing so. 

She's crying herself to sleep right now. I always feel bad about putting her to bed when she doesn't "want" to go to bed. She did it today too during nap time. We've been needing to do this with her lately and it's hard. 

So my mom fell off her horse on Thursday and dislocated her shoulder. We were supposed to go to dinner and then watch my sister Friday night. When she was getting ready she got sick so my sister just came over and we went to Chili's and got some fireworks. We also went to my neighbors BBQ earlier in the day. First time really meeting them all so that was cool. Saturday we did nothing and same with Sunday (today). Pretty good relaxing weekend. We're hoping to go on a family vacation next month but I don't want to write anything about it until I know we can go.

I'm a fatty.

Lucky charms before bed-time! I'm being bad! Truth of the matter is I feel like crap because of the cold from hell. Well I guess any cold is from hell. Ironic? Been feeling like someone shoved a pine-cone down my throat and I have a water tap in my nose constantly running. So I'm treating myself to cereal because it makes me feel better because it's tasty. 

Makayla started saying mamamamamamma on Sunday. Now it's all she likes to say. Seems more interested in trying to stand up and walk than she is in crawling, even though she's on the verge of just cruising away. Showing really good development for her age. I'm just bragging now...

I took some night time medicine so goodnight.
