New Car!

Got a new car yesterday... check it out.

Hot.

Hot. In my house. A/C is out - Trying to work on my business site and finish it this weekend... but I shouldn't speak too soon. I won't be able to FINISH it entirely this weekend. I can get all the content up but some of my order system stuff has yet to be coded by someone that isn't me. I'm not smart enough yet. Maybe I can do some research and find something online. It's coming together, though. Pricing is close to all figured out, if not already figured. Design style is figured out. Have yet a few more pages to go, but that's it.

At any rate, yes I did mention the a/c is out, right? Won't work. Not at all. Fun stuff. The unit worked, because it started pumping hot air out all over the place, but not cold. Trying to decide if we should pay out the a-s-s to get someone here tomorrow or wait it out 'till Monday. It's actually not that bad because we have windows open and it's like 73f out. I'm more worried about the afternoon + humidity tomorrow.

If it's not one thing it's always another. Let's just finish this website. Now I gotta buy stock images, too. DAMNIT.

I've been dealing with this for the past week! Better believe it!

Sneak Peak...

Business plan is starting to come together... I cannot yet see the light at the end of the tunnel but I am thinking it will begin to show itself in a matter of days. My hurdle now is sitting down to get 2 of my web pages prepped then designed, shortly followed by my biggest challenge... getting the order form and upload form to behave correctly... ON A BUDGET. Somebody halp!

I am hoping I can figure this one out. I got my FIEN and State Tax ID today. Two very important things. Getting all the paperwork is probably the most stressful thing. Can't wait for this years taxes...

August Update

I've been slackin' on the postin'.

And I apologize for that. Makayla is crawling up the stairs quite successfully these days. She goes exactly where she wants to go. Plays with exactly what she wants to play with. She's very precise and very adventurous. Stands more often now on her own.. kind of. Not many more new developments.

Work is stressful at times. So is creating your own business. I've got to admit, I've been slacking. Losing motivation but I want to pick it back up. Actually, I NEED to pick it back up. If I let it collect dust nothing will get done. I have "designer sickness" and I am struggling to design my own page or commit to 1 logo. I keep feeling like the page doesn't fit the logo and I start fresh.  Then I realize "I still have to make up content!" - Then I just get discouraged. I know what content I need, but I don't know how I want to implement it yet. I was hoping designing the page will give more insight. 

In other news - I read the graphic novel "Watchmen" last week. Freaking awesome. Move comes out March 6th, 2009. I still need to see the Dark Knight :( - Need a babysitter.
