I saw Transformers today. I'm probably about the last person to see it. Very very good. I was never bored. Not once. I got some laughs out of it, and I love the over the top action scenes. Perhaps my favorite quote was "This is better than Armageddon!" You know.. because Mr. Bay directed that too. It would be good to be Michael Bay right now. Very good indeed. I didn't catch any compositing errors or discrepancies. These are usually easy to catch. As far as I'm concerned, those robots we're real. We all know they weren't, but these particular special effects left me feeling like my own car was going to transform into a sentient being. They did something in Transformers that I didn't think they would be able to do.. I felt like I could relate with the robots. Bay brought a human element to the robots. Even before Bumblebee revealed himself he had character and behaved with meaning. He was only a car! Another part of the movie that I thought was executed very well was the love story. Every Bay movie has one. This one wasn't over the top. Nothing happened until the end of the movie. Frankly they didn't have time.
Overall, I thought the movie was awesome. 5/5 stars. I very much look forward to Transformers 2. And believe me. They won't miss a chance to cash in on that.

I haven't seen it yet. And I didn't even know it was out.
So, you may be wondering how I could possibly not know about all the blockbusters this summer. Well, I don't have a TV or a radio.
Other movies I didn't know about that may shock you are:
Shrek 3, Pirates 3, and Spiderman 3. All these threes! I'm so lost!
Don't you think five stars is just a bit much Malta? Sheesh.
