Another photo of Makayla. Well, we made it home successfully today. Left the hospital around 1. Courtney's mom stopped by for a few minutes around 5 and held her a bit, hoping she'd wake up. She slept all day! Guess what though.. this means she likes being up tonight. Usually she was up during the day because people liked to visit her. We just fed her another bottle though and she seems content for the moment. I have a feeling it's going to be a long night. I'm going to go to bed soon but I expect to be getting up at 4am for a changing and a feeding. Courtney passed out on the coach as she should have a few hours ago. She's opening her eyes a lot more too. She liked to stare at our christmas tree. Very cute, very fun and very a pain in the butt sometimes but I wouldn't have her any other way! She's still a good baby!

FINALLY!
We went to Winnie Palmer on Tuesday morning at 4 am to get induced. We got induced around 6 am and stopped around 8pm... 14 hours of labor and our stubborn child didn't progress. There was a nurse that didn't help at all for 12 hours but I'm not going to get into that. Fact of the matter is we got a C-Section between 8-9 after a new RN came because Makayla was under stress. She was born just before 9 and Courtney had to be separated from her for a couple of hours while she recovered. I went back and forth and took pictures and videos of our baby to show Courtney while she recovered. We finally went upstairs and even though they said our baby will be there before us she still wasn't. We didn't get her until 2 am. We stayed with her for about an hour or so and then sent her to the nursery because we were dead tired.
Had a lot of visitors today... kind of over did it with visitors actually. Was a long stressful day. Courtney is walking a little bit now and we can't believe the baby is here!
It's crazy! All in all we had a good birth. Courtney is in pain still but that's natural with c-sections and I'm helping with everything I can and I'm feeding Makayla and changing diapers. I will now leave you with some pictures from the past few days.

Delivery Room
We got to the hospital at 4 this morning. We got a bed around 5 or 5:30. Got situated around 6 and now we're just waiting. I hear Makayla's heartbeat and I can watch Courtney's contractions come and go. Last night I only got about an hour of sleep. From like 1 to 2 or so.

Post - Long weekend
It was a good long weekend. Sat on our butt's and didn't really do anything. It was our last weekend to relax, for sure. We will definitely have our baby this week. The night after thanksgiving we went to The Melting Pot for our last dinner out. Had some good food. Saturday I took Courtney to Target so she could get some Christmas shopping done and I went to Borders and looked at some design books. I found a book that has a whole bunch of ad's from the 1950's. That stuff amazes me because everything is hand drawn, including the typography. I would be interested in having one of these books. Anyways, so then I cleaned my car and put the car seat in. The car seat thing is weird but I'll get used to it.

Successful Thanksgiving
I'd say that this was a successful Thanksgiving. Went to my in-laws and stuffed my face. Had some good turkey and stuffing and potatoes and stuff. After that went to may parents and surprised them. They didn't think we were coming so that made them really happy. Ate a little more and then came home. I had an appointment with my bathroom.

I can't believe it!
Just kidding. That's not ours. But that's how we feel. We're still waiting. Courtney is really upset that she still hasn't had the baby. We've been hoping to have her for about a week now and knowing that it could potentially go on for about 12 more days is killing her. US. Knowing the way that life seems to function, we will probably have Makayla next week around ThanksGiving when we don't want to be in the hospital. The only day we don't want to be there, we will probably be there.
